This year I decided to invest in learning a new skill (aka purchase new jewellery-making equipment). This time it was a small kiln for firing silver metal clay, along with the metal clay and some new tools.
I have worked with clay with my Nana since I was about 5, so the techniques weren’t new. However, silver metal clay is very sticky and dries extremely quickly, so it’s good to have a clear design in my head/on paper before starting.
It didn’t take long before I fell in love with this medium!
